September 14th BORDER BATTLE 2.0 Round 2
As you can see there is a lot of racing in June and July for race fans to catch. Due to annual events we had to move the border battle back a week. We will have a busy spring finishing the track project where the banking was taken from 5 degrees to 10-12 degrees, the track was widened and the straights are slightly longer. The track will also now have walls and fence all the way around to increase safety around the entire property when racing events are going on. the surface itself is from 65 to as wide as 75 ft in corners. We expect there to be some issues to work through in the early goings from moving so much dirt, but we are glad to have the bulk of it done and a layer of clay sitting on the track already by the end of November 18'. Plans are to add another layer of clay, landscape the outside areas, re-gravel pit roads and exit ramps that are new. Finish the wall openings, add new anchoring and guide poles to better support the fencing system as well. The Line Ups will move to the east end with the added wall and the old lineup chute will become the hot pits which will also greatly increase safety for 2019.
Rules are going up as well this week, these will be the 2019 Rules. Remember all the classes following IMCA will use CURRENT IMCA Rules. The Street Stocks will be the Unified Rules from Wisconsin as UPIRA had joined all the major tracks in the region in unified rules for the class.
Looking forward to a great 2019, we are taking big steps and have had great teamwork from our Board of Directors, Sponsors, and Club Members to get to where we are!!!
