ESCANABA — Fans of all ages came out to meet their favorite drivers and get autographs as it was fan Appreciation Night at the Escanaba Motor Speedway sponsored by the Island Resort and Casino. There were 89 cars registered for action Saturday night, the biggest car count since the Christian Groleau Memorial Race last season.

We pick things up with the exhibition vintage modifieds as Terry Royer picked up the heat and feature sweep. Ron Anderson came in second and won the other heat race. Charles Peterson finished in third and Tom Dubord and David Broeders rounded out the top five.

In the youth micro sprints, Tanner Rae picked up the feature win as well as a win in heat race action. Wyatt Ammel came in second place and Amelia Hart finished third. Carson Wagner and Abbie Lantagne rounded out the top five, Liliah Wagner won the other heat race.

In the sportsman sprint class, Griffin Iverson picked up the feature win. Gage Heim came in second and Macy Degnan finished third. Chase Richer and Braxton Lundquist rounded out the top five. Andrew Karl and Nathan Viau had the heat wins.

In the super modified class, Jesse Denome picked up the feature win. Paul Hosking moved up four spots to finish in second and Drake Degnan finished third Coletan Pepin and Gunnar Hansen rounded out the top five. Rick Ness won the heat race.

In the 600 sprints, Logan Getzloff picked up the sweep winning the heat and feature. Bentley Richer came in second and Ethan Manninen finished third.

In the sport modifieds, It was the “Iceman”finished third Doug Belgonia Jr. picking up the feature win. Matt Valiquette came in second and Matt Maki IV finished third. Bradley Viau finished fourth and won a heat race and Bradley Seppanen finished fifth. Jesse Denome and Rick Gustanvson each had heat wins.

In the street stocks, Paul Wagner picked up the feature win as well as a win in heat race action. Qwentin Johnsen came in second and won the other heat race. Tony Begovac finished third and Ben Buckland and Brayden Lundquist rounded out the top five.

In the sport compacts, Mark Isley picked up a sweep winning the heat and the feature. Jared Demeuse finished second and Andrew VanDrese came in third. Dylan Lanaville and Logan Reiffers rounded out the top five.
